THE GRAND DEPART, FESTIVAL OF CYCLING

Yorkshire

This summer we took part in yet another spectacular event that kept the whole world excited about its ‘Grand Depart’ – Le Tour de France, Yorkshire - the latest addition to the Off to Work great sporting calendar.

We were thrilled to support Payne & Gunter, one of our longest serving clients at this amazing event where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry officially started the Tour de France at the beautiful Harewood House in Yorkshire.

More than a million spectators lined the route and with roads closing from 4am on the date of Grand Depart, Off to Work got creative with how to get staff on site!

Overnight camping for 50 staff – Team Leaders, Waiting Staff and Event Porters - was arranged in the grounds of Harewood House.

Heavy rain and blustery winds overnight were not enough to dampen the Off to Work spirit and we are incredibly pleased with the event - great feedback from our client and amazing experiences had by the staff who worked surrounded by special dignitaries, and a camping and carnival atmosphere!
