MERCEDES-BENZ LAUNCH ACTROS

When you are selecting a staffing partner for your product launch you need a company who can think ahead, be creative and innovative and most importantly make things happen.

The Brief 

When DBMT needed to create the ‘wow’ factor for their client Mercedes Benz they approached Off to Work to create a visual design for their front of house brand ambassadors.

As well as the formal UK reveal of the new Actros, the event incorporated product knowledge briefing sessions and a celebratory dinner, where both dealers and Mercedes-Benz UK management hosted 511 VIP customers. DBMT needed a stand out team to work front of house and carry the brand throughout the experiential event.

For a launch of this magnitude the lead time was tight. Cat suit style laser costumes handmade to fit in Canada and a team handpicked from across the UK for the event held in Birmingham’s Hilton Metropole meant logistically, attention to detail was imperative. Our in house makeup artist and hair stylist worked with the designs to bring synergy between the hostesses and the ‘New Dimension’ slogan underpinning the entire event.

We chose to recruit our ambassadors from across the country enabling us to bring the crème de le crème of the promotional industry to the launch. On the day itself the girls poured themselves into the finished costumes with blue lights beaming away. As the first visual for the guests on arrival the pressure was on to create an impact. Hair styled high with dynamic makeup, each girl had identical creations as they stepped into their role for the Mercedes Benz experience.

The result

The event redefined Mercedes-Benz Trucks as an organisation and feedback from the delegates was extremely positive.
