Job title: ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER – SPORTS AND STADIA

I started in small, but busy Irish pub before going to university and that is where I seemed to have found a love for bar work.  After a year there, I found myself in unfamiliar waters when I moved to a bigger pub to challenge myself. I quickly found my feet and enrolled in courses to expand my knowledge. I completed a cellar and beer management course and got my personal license. I even trained in the kitchen, under the head chef and became someone who could do it all.

I left for a few months to go to university and within a few months COVID hit. As I was only half way through my first year, the University courses moved online, so, once hospitality opened back up, I worked full-time, alongside my degree. I learnt different ways to operate the business and found myself moving into a management position.  I fell in love with hospitality without realising it.

Having conquered the bar-scene, I decided to make another change and joined Off to Work. As a massive Tottenham fan, it was a no brainer to join the sporting side. Little did I know that I would be spending a lot of time on the other side of North London, at the Emirates Stadium.

My favourite part of the job is helping staff at all the different sporting and cultural events in and around London. The opportunities are endless, and no two days are the same.
