I moved to London in late 2008 after my studies in literature and languages. Originally from Galicia, the green corner of Europe located in the northwest Iberian Peninsula, where it is said “while you’re talking, you’re not eating anything ” to show the importance of food (it is also said “rain is an art” but that’s another story).
I have worked in the hospitality industry since I was in college. I am truly passionate about good food and great service. My working life started as a Bar Supervisor at the Southbank Centre. I was then promoted to Deputy General Manager where serving pints to Ray Davies and having 30 seconds conversations with Paul McCartney was definitely a perk. After spending 8 years there I moved into contract catering as a General Manager at the Bank Of England where I continued to learn and develop my hospitality management skills.
I joined Off To Work in September 2021 as a BOH Assistant Operations Manager with the aim of sharing and building on my experience and knowledge. I am firmly convinced that with my new role in recruitment I am taking the right step forward.
The more concerts I go to, the more I travel and the more graphic novels I read, the better I am. You can also find me shooting photos.
