Having always wanted to be a part of the hospitality industry from a young age I decided to do a diploma at Edinburgh’s School of Food and Wine upon leaving school
I started my career as a chef at the Hilton in Edinburgh and worked in various 4 star and 5 star hotels before being offered a position in London.
At the age of 20 I made my way down to London and through hard work, dedication and support I worked my way up through the ranks and had the opportunity to work in some fantastic hotels, restaurants and high end corporate catering companies in the city
Along with my love of all things hospitality my other main passion is travelling, and luckily my time in the kitchens meant that I was able to work in Australia for a leading hotel of the world on the Great Barrier Reef – it really was a dream when I wasn’t sweating it out in the kitchen!
Having been in hospitality recruitment for a couple of years now, I can safely say I love it just as much as I did when I was working in the kitchens, and being able to use my knowledge, experience and passion to enable our team members to develop and grow in their careers, is truly rewarding.
Outside work you will find me trying out new restaurants and spending time with the family.
