Growing up, my dad was a professional chef and some of my first memories are of being in the kitchen and restaurant. He roped me in to being a kitchen porter, during my holidays, from the tender age of 11. This start fostered a deep passion for the hospitality industry from the get-go.

Moving on from my childhood, I went on to study at Rose Bruford College of Drama and Speech. Whilst studying, I continued to work in hospitality, and found that I tended to specialise in bar and restaurant, as this is where I felt that I shined.

I joined Off to Work in 2013, as a casual member and maintained this role for over 5 years. While working for Off to Work, I was afforded the opportunity to work in some of the most incredible venues. Over time, I worked my way up to Catering Supervisor and Manager, working at some of the world’s most prestigious events and hotels. After so long in the industry, I realised that my passion lay in training others, so I finally joined Off to Work, full-time, as a recruitment and training assistant in 2019, and have since worked my way into the role of Training Officer on a national level.

On the rare occasion that I am not working, I like to spend most of my time going to the theatre or, quite literally, running around the streets of London as training for another marathon…
