I’ve now been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years having started off as a Kitchen Porter and then worked my way through the ranks and in that time, I have worked in some of London’s most exclusive establishments including The Carlton Tower, The Royal Horseguards Hotel, Selfridges Department Store, Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill, Goldman Sachs and The Royal Lancaster London.
Now of course, I love food – I think that’s a given but I also love training and helping all that I work with to be the very best they can be. I work with and mentor students from schools and colleges such as UWL, Westminster Kingsway, and Waltham Forest College. I run master classes and arrange work experience opportunities to help students develop themselves and to reach the standards that the industry requires.
So, I know what the industry needs, I know how to inspire, develop and grow talent and I have been putting the right people in the right place, doing the right job at the right time for all the companies that I have worked for the past 25 years – Now it’s time to do that with Off To Work.
Watch this space – things are about to get exciting……
Couple of interesting things about me –
Since 2016 I have been a UK Judge for World Young Chef of the Year via the Chaine des Rotisseurs visiting Manchester, Frankfurt, Taiwan and this year (2019) the finals are in Canada.
I was involved in MasterChef series 3 & 7 when the chefs were sent out to my restaurant for their trade tests.
I have met the Queen as I was luckily enough to be asked to represent the hospitality industry at one of her garden parties. She was lovely but she did not take me up on a work experience opportunity that I offered her
I don’t drink coffee – I’m a medium strength tea man, little milk and one sugar….. just saying
