DESCRIPTION

Job Role - Sous Chef

Location - London

Salary - £30k - £32k Mainly Mon-Fri

We are looking for a Sous Chef to work in busy venue based in near to London Bridge.

Core hours for the Sous Chef are Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm there are occasional evenings and very occasional weekends. Overtime is taken as Lieu time off as well, So a degree of flexibility is needed.

The Sous Chef will work in a team of 5 and report into the Head Chef. You will work very closely with the Head Chef on menu design and you will need to be a real "Foodie" and have a passion for current trends in the market.

The kitchen produces breakfasts, buffet lunches, Afternoon Tea's as well as canape's and events. Cooking for around 200-250 on a daily basis you will need to be orgainsed and confident. The Sous Chef will need to run the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

A Sous Chef who has banqueitng experience or high volume would be beneficial as there can be functions and events up to 500 people. This is a great company to work for and there are distinct progression opportunies available for ambitous chefs who want to progress their career.
