Job Role - Sous Chef in Events

Location - London

Salary - £24-40k Including Paid overtime

We are looking for a Sous Chef to work in this prestigious event company based in London. This is an exciting role that doesn't become available very often!

The ideal chef will currently be a Sous Chef wanting a new challenge or move away from Hotel or Restaurant hours and transfer to a top end event caterer or a Chef de Partie looking to make the move up to a Sous Chef role.

You will be a key member of the kitchen team and the Sous Chef is involved in all stages of the event from the menu design to meeting and presenting for clients. You would lead event and coordinate the freelance and agency chefs to ensure all events run smoothly.

A strong background in Rosette or Michelin kitchens will be required as the food produced is of the finest quality in London. Experience gained in Events would be preferred but a strong background in high end establishments will be considered.

Core hours for the Sous Chef are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm and you will be on a 40 hour contract. You will likely be running 2/3 evening events per week and around 1 in 3 weekends as well, any hours over the contracted amount are paid at overtime and you can expect around 35-40% earning on your basic salary.

You will be joining a very stable and supportive team who encourage development and constant learning. Good communication skills are key as well as an outgoing personality as team work is as important as skill level in this role.
