Hospitality and Events Sales Executive - contract catering - B & I sector

East London
Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week
Salary up to £30,000

Our client is one of the world's leading financial institutions and I am recruiting an ambitious and engaging Meeting and Events Sales Executive to join a friendly and dynamic team.

Primarily based in London with additional offices across the UK, the Meeting and Events Sales Executive role is remote based and will require occasional travel as and when needed to visit existing and prospective clients.

As Meeting and Events Sales Executive you will be responsible for promoting the Meeting and Events facilities to prospective internal and external clients and will act as the main point of contact for co-ordinating their events.

This is a customer facing role, so you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and have a real drive to deliver the best possible service and exceeding the customer's expectations.

The role

* To proactively grow, develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing key accounts with all our client portfolio.
* To create accurate business reports, understand and identify where you can increase revenue to exceed sales targets of the hospitality and event activities across our client portfolio.
* To co-ordinate all the event details before handing over to our operational team, as well as meet and greet your clients on event days.
* To prepare show rounds, hosting tastings, create quality proposals for clients and convert leads into business
* Highly confident in networking, self-driven and enthusiastic about success in their role.
* Effective management of the online internal marketing.

Requirements:

* A minimum of 2 years' proven experience of working in a fast-paced events, venues or sales environment within the catering and hospitality sector.
* Excellent knowledge of meetings, conferences and the events industry.
* A confident communicator across all channels; including face to face and comfortability in selling to high-level decision makers
* Be an effective team player with a bubbly, outgoing personality, and have a natural flair for networking.
* IT literate across multiple systems and interests in web management (Intranet).
* As Event Sales Executive, you will be highly motivated, committed and passionate. You will be self-driven and focused to achieve weekly targets and be able to work well within a team as well as on your own initiative.
