Off to Work Staff Awards - 2017!

Did you attend our Staff Awards evening in London or Birmingham this year?

Each year the Off to Work Staff Awards gets better and better! This year, two fantastic evening events were hosted in London and Birmingham to celebrate the hard work and success of all our team members. Clients were also invited to come and enjoy the music, food and awards ceremony along with team and office staff.   

In London, the London Irish Centre was transformed into a Street Food Festival, with some delicious eats from Burrito Joes and Scoop Natural Luxury Gelato, provided by Caterwings UK.


Ben and Fran from The Five Points Brewing Company provided beer for 250 guests and we relished the opportunity to support their wonderful, independent brewery. Whilst eating, we were entertained by the marvellous Brixton Barndance, an acoustic trio of musicians who played mellow pop songs with a bluegrass sound. Marta transformed the venue into a fun, vibrant Street Food Festival and 188m of handmade hessian bunting really brought the whole thing together – thank you Orchard Learning Studios!  



We also had a Photo Booth and a sing-along piano player for guests to enjoy after the ceremony, as well as a DJ in the main room which was a lot of fun! Terry captured the whole evening on our Instagram stories for those who couldn’t attend, so they didn’t miss a moment of the fun.

In Birmingham, we headed down to The Rainbow Venue’s Mama Roux for a French-themed soiree. Everyone got involved and we saw a great turn out and equally great costumes. Goats Cheese Pizzas and Chicken Tikka Wraps were cooked up by Lee Desanges from Baked in Brick, winner of the British Street Food Awards 2016. To say he was a big hit would be an understatement! Office staff worked together to decorate the venue and we would like to give a special shout out to Aleks Gembickis for putting down his baguette and pitching in at such short notice! We were also delighted to welcome special guests Lucy Harper and Graeme Ellis from Amadeus Food to present the awards for Best Waiting and Best Bartender. Rainbow Venues provided a great DJ after the ceremony so everyone could celebrate their awards by dancing around to cheesy pop classics!

We would also like to give some special recognition to our Off to Workers of the Year! Through their constant hard work and dedication, they have provided amazing experiences for countless clients and become a real asset to us throughout their time in the company. In London, Zandra  won third place, Chelsea  won second and  George  won Team Member of the year! In Birmingham, Tamas  won third place, Mouhamadou won second and Emel won first place.

Congratulations to our amazing winners and thank you to all our staff who work so hard every day. We hope you enjoyed the Staff Awards and we can’t wait to celebrate again next year!
