"Would Like To Meet" at The Old Strand Tube Station

Event Strategy
In February this year a large corporate client called us regarding an important launch event they were planning. The launch was of their catalogue of images and photos to journalists, advertising and marketing companies and independent designers. They had been marketing to these potential clients and users over the last year however traditional forms of business-to-business advertising had not been affective and attempts to instigate one on one meetings had not been successful.

The event was designed to give an opportunity to get face-to-face contact with these elusive contacts and to present a sample of their unique images.

Event Brief
The brief to the occasion was to have the event in a building which was symbolic of London with an urban and relaxed feel. The event was not to appear too sales orientated with all guests to feel welcome and not preached to. There were to be large images from their portfolio throughout the venue and guests would be free to wander as they wished.

Drinks would be offered on arrival through tray service and there were two be two dispense bars. Due to the informality of the occasion only dry nibbles were to be offered. The client was expecting up to 350 guests and as well as drink and light food service they also needed a cloakroom to be set-up and run.

On The Night
This event took place at The Old Aldwych Tube Station on the Strand. Over 350 guests attended; surpassing our client’s wildest hopes; a busy and buzzing exhibition where drinks were flowing and nibbles enjoyed. The face-to-face contact that our client was hoping for was achieved with all the key buyers attending.

Off to Work provided the expertise and know how to make this event run in symmetry with the objectives of the evening. From the initial enquiry we listened to ideas, needs and the purpose of the event. On the occasion we had an event manager on site managing the event, we sourced and provided all drinks, nibbles, staffing, cloakroom facility and all catering equipment required on site. At the end of the night the building was cleaned and returned to the condition it was found in.

The Feedback
The end product was a very successful event with our delighted client providing excellent feedback. "In my opinion it was the best customer event we have done to date. Once again, many thanks, what you achieved was really appreciated by all in UK Sales".

Major Sporting Event Corporate Hospitality Staffing Provision

The Event
For the last three years Off to Work have provided all the staffing for the Corporate Hospitality element of a major Tennis Tournament within Central London. Together with our client we carefully plan all staff requirements needed for an event of this size and stature.

Prior Event Planning & Staff Management
Initially we make sure we have all the correct details and a good understanding of the event our client wants to create. Pre-briefing information such as menus, number of guests, order of service etc. are passed on to all staff and the team work with a constant awareness of all the objectives of the event. The consistency of the team is always imperative for the operation to run smoothly and Off to Work successfully provide approximately 50 staff with great consistency.

To further take the pressure off our client, Off to Work manage all the signing in and out of staff for the whole duration of the event. Our Operations Managers managed all staff appearance, uniforms and timekeeping ensuring the highest standards at all times.

Prior to the event a complete list of staff including photos was sent to our client and the venue. Additionally our staff carry Off to Work ID Badges to ensure that there are no security issues on arrival at the venue.

The Team
The Off to Work team supplied team leaders, waiting staff, bar managers, bar staff and back of house porters. The team spirit was high and the atmosphere great throughout the tournament. Most of our staff who worked have already asked to do it again this year.

The Feedback
The feedback form our client was again very complimentary:

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team for such a fantastic turn out, all the staff gave a very high standard of performance and were all respectable and professional. It should be noted that you consistently turned out an excellent team in all hospitality areas. The staff were friendly, experienced, and complimentary to the profile of our company".
